On August 16, 2024, India observed the sixth death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. On Atal Bihari Vajpayee`s death anniversary, President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar paid floral tributes at the `Sadaiv Atal` memorial in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited the memorial to honor Vajpayee, alongside Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Vajpayee, born in Gwalior in 1924, was a towering figure in Indian politics and the face of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for decades. He made history as the first non-Congress Prime Minister to complete a full term in office. His leadership and vision left a lasting impact on the nation. Vajpayee passed away on August 16, 2018, after a prolonged illness, and his contributions continue to be remembered with respect and admiration.
