Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Pathaan’ has become the latest victim of Bollywood’s boycott culture. The anger started over the saffron color of Deepika’s outfit in the song ‘Besharam Rang’. State Minister Narottam Mishra said the song is highly objectionable and shot with a dirty mindset. Ever since Mishra raised his voice, various political leaders have been raising voices against the song for hurting religious sentiments. Meanwhile, bollywood backed Pathaan indirectly by talking about Social media, freedom of speech at the Kolkata Film Festival and on twitter handles. Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav also called this as BJP’s strategy to distract people from burning issues like rising unemployment, inflation, etc. Recently, Congress leader and Chattisgarh Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, came in support of the song Besharam Rang and called the trolls as ‘Bajrangi Goons’
