Amid the ongoing Israel-Hezbollah war, protestors gathered in Iraq`s capital Baghdad in support of Lebanon and the Palestinians on October 11. Large number of protestors gathered on the streets and chanted pro-Palestinian and pro-resistance slogans. Agitators were seen waving Hezbollah & Palestinian flags, and displayed posters of Hezbollah and Hamas leaders. Conflict between Israel and Hezbollah was started a year ago when Hezbollah opened fire in support of Hamas. Fighting escalated dramatically last month when Israel bombed Lebanon`s capital Beirut and the Bekaa Valley. IDF also sent ground troops into the south of Lebanon and Hezbollah, meanwhile, fired rockets deeper into Israel.
