Let’s make sports training accessible to all kids

Celebrations are ongoing post the big Women’s World Cup win on Sunday. It is heartening to note that the women are already looking ahead, stating that this win was only a start and they aim to dominate not just in 50 overs but all formats of the game.

There is a lot of talk about how this win will act as a springboard for more girls to take to the game. One of the big factors to make sports training accessible and bring more women to the playing fields is safety. Make our public transport safe so that girls can make the trip to maidans/pools/gyms/open spaces on their own and do not need to be chaperoned by the family, after they are old enough to travel on their own.
