Mahatma Gandhi statue stolen from Indian community centre in Australia

A bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi was cut and stolen from the Australian Indian Community Centre in Rowville, Melbourne. The statue, gifted by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and inaugurated in 2021 by former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, was allegedly stolen by three unidentified offenders

A bronze statue of Mahatma Gandhi was cut and stolen from the Australian Indian Community Centre in Rowville, Melbourne, triggering a police investigation.

The police believe it was stolen by three unknown offenders from the charity premises on Kingsley Close, Rowville.
