In the wake of the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, China has called for a "swift and fair investigation" into the incident, which led to the loss of 26 lives, mostly tourists. China also reiterated its support for Pakistan, particularly in safeguarding its sovereignty and security amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.

According to PTI reports, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a telephone conversation with Pakistan`s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday. During the call, Dar briefed Wang on the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India following the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir`s Pahalgam region.
