Protesters rally under ‘No Kings’ banner over US government shutdown

After 21 days of US government shutdown, federal programmes like food assistance and emergency medical care have taken a hit

Protesting the direction of the country under President Donald Trump, people gathered on Saturday  afternoon in Washington for “No Kings” demonstrations where Trump is being referred to as a king. The president’s Republican Party is calling it “Hate America” rallies. This is the third mass mobilisation since Trump’s return to the White House and is expected to be the largest.
