UK tribunal bans teachers over alcohol incidents on campus

Two teachers in the United Kingdom have been banned from teaching after being found drunk at their respective schools. Susan Avizius was barred for five years after alcohol was discovered in her classroom, while primary teacher Jemma Kemsley received a three-year ban following a similar incident

Two teachers have been banned in the United Kingdom for being drunk at their respective schools. Susan Avizius, 54, was fired in 2022 for being tipsy at a Southwest London school, according to The Sun newspaper.

A tribunal acted after a witness found the art teacher’s water bottle smelling of gin. An empty vodka bottle was found in her class as well. She has been banned for five years. Meanwhile, primary teacher Jemma Kemsley.
