Post-mortem concluded on Iranian sailor deaths in Sri Lanka

Post-mortem examinations on 84 bodies of Iranian sailors recovered from the sunken frigate IRIS Dena have been concluded at Karapitiya Hospital in Galle, Sri Lanka, with 80 of the 84 bodies identified by survivors. The ship was sunk by a US submarine off Sri Lanka's southern coast while returning to Iran from Visakhapatnam

The post-mortem conducted on the bodies of Iranian sailors recovered from the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena has been concluded, hospital sources said on Friday.

Sri Lanka said on Wednesday it had recovered 84 bodies of Iranian sailors after the US submarine attack sank the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena off Galle on the island's southern coast.
