While the situation in the Gulf countries does not look to calm down anytime soon, the Saudi Ministry of Defence on Sunday announced that their forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a drone that was flying towards the country's eastern region.
As reported by news agency ANI, the military confirmed that the aerial threat was neutralised before it could reach its intended target. The defensive action from Saudi Arabia comes amidst heightened regional tensions that have seen a surge in such incidents.
