A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck near the east coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, prompting a tsunami warning for the region. The quake’s epicentre was located 111.7 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, with depth estimates ranging between 10 km and 39.5 km.
