Australia’s wicketkeeper Alex Carey said injured captain Pat Cummins is nearing a return to full fitness after the pacer completed an intense one-hour net session in Perth.

“I saw him [Cummins] bowling in the nets yesterday… he looked ready to go. I guess it’s all about the build up [of his bowling workload] now, and not so much bowling at 140kmph, because it looked like he did that pretty effortlessly,” said Carey.
