Australia opener Usman Khawaja remains confident of playing for his side amid an intensifying debate about his return to the playing eleven for the Adelaide Test against England, which begins on Wednesday.

Khawaja missed the second Test in Brisbane, which the hosts won by eight-wickets, due to worsening back spasms, which also limited his role in the opening Test at Perth.
