Ashes: David Warner backs THIS veteran to open innings for Australia in Adelaide

Since Warner`s retirement, the Aussies have struggled to find the right man to open the innings along with Khawaja. Before Khawaja was benched, the left-hander had already batted with five different opening batsmen in 15 Test matches

Ahead of the third Test match of the Ashes series, former cricketer David Warner has backed his former opening partner, Usman Khawaja, to take over the top spot. He also feels Travis Head coming to bat at number five is the setup that will most likely trouble England, according to ESPNcricinfo.

"I think Uzzy (Usman Khawaja) comes back in, slides to the top, and Trav (Travis Head) goes down. That`s probably a worse result for England, Travis Head going back down the order," Warner told reporters, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.
