Asia Cup 2025: Kaif raises questions on Sundar's exclusion from main squad

The Asia Cup 2025 is all set to kick off on September 9, with the first match scheduled to be played between Afghanistan and Hong Kong at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium. The "Men in Blue" will begin their campaign with a game against the UAE on September 10 at the Dubai International Stadium

Ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, former cricketer Mohammad Kaif has raised questions about Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav for picking just two genuine all-rounders, such as Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel. He pointed out why Washington Sundar has missed the cut despite delivering a fine show in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
Additionally, incase if the side needs the services of spin bowlers, there are such players who can do the job. Abhishek Sharma (left-arm spin), Shivam Dube (right-arm pace), Tilak Varma (right-arm spin) and Rinku Singh (right-arm spin) are handy with the ball.
