West Indies team to fly home on charter after days stranded due to Iran strike

A charter flight has been arranged for the West Indies cricket team after they were stranded in India for over four days due to airspace restrictions following US and Israeli strikes on Iran. Coach Daren Sammy confirmed the update after expressing frustration over the travel delay

A charter flight has been arranged for the West Indies team to return home after the Caribbean side remained stranded in the city for more than four days due to international airspace restrictions triggered by the US and Israeli strikes on Iran.

"A charter has been arranged for the West Indies to fly home," a source told PTI on Thursday. "Got an update. That's all WI wanted," West Indies coach Daren Sammy tweeted. The development came few hours after Sammy voiced his frustration on social media.
