Many would consider South Africa and Sri Lanka, who clash at the renovated Kotla here today, are here to complete the numbers. That is far from the truth. Although Sri Lanka are a pale shadow of the legendary team that won the 1996 World Cup, the young team have it in them to leave a mark on the tournament. As for South Africa, they would like to get rid of the “chokers” tag this time.
