Team India star pacer Mohammed Siraj has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee and given one demerit point for an aggressive send-off to England`s opening batsman Ben Duckett on day four of the third Test match.
After dismissing Duckett for just 12 runs off 12 balls, Mohammed Siraj gave a fiery send-off to him and brushed shoulders with the opening batsman. In England`s second innings, Duckett was able to smash just one boundary but what came afterwards by Siraj showcased some aggression.
Siraj, who bagged four wickets across two innings of the third Test match was found guilty for breaching Article 2.5 of the International Cricket Council`s Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to "using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match".
"Mohammed Siraj has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee after a breach in the ICC Code of Conduct during India`s Test match against England at Lord`s," said ICC in a statement.
