Ryan ten Doeschate breaks silence on Jasprit Bumrah's omission

In Bumrah's absence, Team India entered the third Test match with four changes. Prasidh Krishna, Karun Nair, Dhruv Jurel and Akash Deep have been included in the team. Karun made the most of the opportunity provided as he scored an unbeaten 52 runs on Day 1. Facing 98 balls, he also smashed seven boundaries

Team India's lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah didn't feature in the playing XI for the fifth and final Test match against England.
The pacer was advised by the BCCI's medical team not to play consecutive Test matches, considering his workload management.
Speaking to the reporters after Day 1 play, assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate said that the management felt right to honour the premier pacer's decision.
