Ahead of the first Test match against Team India, South Africa skipper <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/temba-bavuma-set-to-feature-for-south-africa-a-on-tour-of-india-23599171" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Temba Bavuma</a> was the last to join the senior squad on Monday.
He was a part of the 'A' team's unofficial Test series in Bengaluru.
Earlier, the first batch of the Proteas, including head coach Shukri Conrad, Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen, and other players, arrived on Sunday.
"Bavuma, along with another player and a few officials, arrived this morning from Bengaluru. Most of the squad, including the head coach, had already checked in on Sunday," the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/south-africa-a-pull-off-record-417-run-chase-vs-india-a-23602415" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">South Africa</a> team's local manager told PTI.
"So, South Africa now have their full contingent in. There's no activity scheduled at the Eden today... Most likely, both teams will have their first training session on Tuesday," he added.
Bavuma had earlier sustained a calf strain and missed out on the start of South Africa's World <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ind-vs-sa-tests-here-is-full-schedule-squads-venues-and-timings-for-the-two-match-contest-23602273" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Test</a> Championship (WTC) title defence during the two-match Test series in Pakistan.
On the other hand, the Indian batch returning from Australia includes head coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Washington Sundar and Axar Patel.
The other players are expected to arrive in different batches throughout the day. Additionally, it will be interesting to see the comeback of Team India's vice-captain, Rishabh Pant. The left-hander will be making his first international appearance since the conclusion of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
The first Test match between India and South Africa has been scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 14. The second game will be played from November 22 at the Assam <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ashes-pacer-mark-wood-feels-england-carries-quiet-confidence-ahead-of-test-contest-against-australia-23602487" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Cricket</a> Association Stadium in Guwahati.
