IPL 2021: Ravindra Jadeja equalled this Chris Gayle record

Ravindra Jadeja scored a blistering 62 runs off 28 balls with 4 boundaries and five sixes and later on took 3 wickets as Chennai beat Bangalore by 69 runs.

Chennai Super Kings' all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja put on a stellar performance with the bat and ball to hand CSK a win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in their IPL encounter on April 25.


With this win, Chennai Super Kings went atop the IPL points table and handed RCB their first defeat of the IPL 2021 season. CSK lead with 8 points at a Net Run Rate of +1.612.


Ravindra Jadeja scored a blistering 62 runs off 28 balls with 4 boundaries and five sixes and later on took 3 wickets as Chennai beat Bangalore by  69 runs. Jadeja bagged the wickets of Washington Sundar, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers.


During the final over of CSK's innings, Jadeja smashed 36 runs and in the process, equalled Chris Gayle's record for most runs scored in an over in the IPL. Chris Gayle had scored 26 runs during the 2011 IPL edition.
