However, their spirits were soon lifted when CSK bowling coach Eric Simons confirmed that the iconic 43-year-old is fit and will indeed take the field in what could be his final appearance at the iconic venue.
"Yes, he's expected to play tomorrow," Simons stated, assuring fans of Dhoni’s availability for Wednesday’s crucial match. Simons also shed light on Dhoni’s unique approach to match preparation.
