In the IPL 2025 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Mumbai Indians (MI) came out victorious by seven wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in the southern city.
During the match, SRH wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan`s controversial dismissal raised eyebrows at the venue. It happened after the left-hander `supposedly` edged the ball in the hands of the wicket-keeper during Deepak Chahar`s over.
After MI`s Ryan Rickelton collected the ball, no appeal was made by the wicketkeeper or Chahar.
On-field umpire Vinod Seshan was about to declare the delivery wide, but Ishan started to leave the ground, indicating he had edged it to the keeper. The 26-year-old`s gesture made the umpire raise his finger making Kishan leave the ground after his dismissal.
