The MS Dhoni-led CSK in their underwhelming IPL 2025 season is still left with one of its group stage matches. The side will clash against Gujarat Titans on May 25 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. So far, the only positive for Chennai this season was the inclusion of Ayush Mahtre and Dewald Brevis

In the IPL 2025 match against Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings suffered a loss by six wickets. Despite suffering a loss, CSK captain MS Dhoni heaped praise on young batsman Dewald Brevis.
"I think Brevis' innings was very nice, he was taking chances and I feel run-rate was nice, that's the phase we want to improve slightly. I felt the run-rate was up but where we lacked was losing 1-2 extra wickets," said MS Dhoni during the post-match presentation.
