The amusing incident occurred when the third umpire mistakenly reviewed the wrong delivery during a wide-ball review, prompting light-hearted reactions from both Cummins and bowler Jaydev Unadkat.

The episode unfolded in the 15th over of Gujarat Titans’ innings when Unadkat bowled a delivery that was adjudged wide by on-field umpire K Swaroopanand. Unconvinced by the call, Cummins, in agreement with Unadkat, immediately opted for the Decision Review System (DRS) to challenge the ruling. However, due to a broadcasting error, the third umpire ended up reviewing a different ball altogether.
