<p>Heavy rain delayed the start of the second innings between <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/srh-vs-dc-ipl-2025-sunrisers-hyderabad-eliminated-from-playoff-contention-after-rain-washes-out-delhi-capitals-clash-23535627" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"><strong>Sunrisers Hyderabad</strong></a> and Delhi Capitals match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Monday night.</p>
<p>As soon as DC&rsquo;s innings was completed, there was a huge downpour, forcing the players back into the pavilion. It could be considered a relief to DC, who managed to post a poor 133-7.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Earlier, a charged-up Cummins was on fire right from the first ball, putting DC on the backfoot. Incidentally, the Aussie pacer dismissed Karun Nair, Faf du Plessis and Abhishek Porel with the first deliveries of his first three overs. All three were caught by wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan, who was keeping wickets in place of Heinrich Klaasen.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Cummins was again in the thick of the action, holding on to a good catch at deep mid-off as DC skipper Axar Patel tried to clear the in-field off Harshal Patel. Put into bat, DC struggled at 26-4 in their first six overs.&nbsp;</p>
<p>With the top order dismantled, DC would&rsquo;ve expected <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ipl-2025-hats-off-to-players-who-have-played-in-certain-way-for-such-long-time-in-t20s-kevin-pietersen-23535356" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"><strong>KL Rahul</strong></a> (10) to wriggle them out of the tight situation. But Rahul was caught-behind too, off an angled delivery by left-arm seamer Jaydev Unadkat, and DC were reeling at 29-5. DC&rsquo;s woes were further compounded when Vipraj Nigam was run out after a silly mess up with Tristan Stubbs.&nbsp;</p>
<p>From 62-6, a desperate DC rallied through Stubbs (36-ball 41 not out) and Impact Player Ashutosh Sharma (26-ball 41). The seventh wicket raised 66 runs to set up a reasonable target for SRH.&nbsp;</p>
