DC and KKR could count themselves unlucky as these controversial umpiring decisions may have cost them full points in the two recent last-ball thrillers

Nitish Rana
Nitish Rana’s overturned LBW decision (DC vs GT)
DC’s No. 3 batter Rana was given out leg before while trying to paddle sweep GT’s Rashid Khan in the 10th over, when the score was 97-1. Rana, who completed a single in the meantime, took a review and it was found that he got a slight edge off the bat, leading to the decision being overturned. However, as per the rules, since the ball is declared dead as soon as the batsman is given out, Rana’s single didn’t count. Eventually, DC lost the match by just a solitary run. Had Rana’s run been counted, the result could’ve been in favour of DC.
