The Lucknow Super Giants took control of the run chase against Sunrisers Hyderabad, scoring 81 runs after 10 overs. LSG are chasing 157 runs to get their first win of the season.
LSG started their innings with a bang, attacking the SRH bowlers in the powerplay. South African opener Aiden Markram scored 45 of 27 balls at the halfway stage to keep the visitors in control of the run chase.
Markram's opening partner, Mitch Marsh, was dismissed by Eshan Malinga in his first over. Marsh scored 14 runs in 12 balls to give LSG a steady start in a low-scoring run chase.
LSG captain Rishabh Pant joined Markram at number 3 and stitched a partnership. Markram was soon caught at long off as Shivang Kumar got his maiden IPL wicket.
Eshan Malinga was the key bowler for SRH, taking the crucial wicket of Marsh in the powerplay.
