In the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/photo/ipl-2026-ravindra-jadeja-surpasses-lasith-malinga-on-most-wicket-takers-list-110376" rel="nofollow">IPL 2026</a> match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Rajasthan Royals (RR) emerged victorious by eight wickets at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Guwahati.
RR's young batsman Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played a knock of 52 runs off just 17 deliveries, which was laced with four boundaries and five maximums.
Speaking about him, star all-rounder <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ipl-2026-ravindra-jadeja-speaks-about-his-exit-from-chennai-super-kings-23623486" rel="nofollow">Ravindra Jadeja</a> said that he has a fearless mindset. He also said that it was a difficult pitch to bat on, but the left-handed batsman still managed to hit big shots.
"Can't bowl him into the stumps in nets, he smashes every ball into the stands. Vaibhav has a very fearless mindset. Because he bats in the net the same way as he bats in the match. The batting that Vaibhav did today, it wasn't that easy. The new ball was swinging. It was so difficult, yet he was hitting big shots and scored 50 runs in just a few balls," he said.
When asked about Jadeja, Sooryavanshi said that the all-rounder has a lot of knowledge. The youngster also said that it is fun to face Jadeja during the net sessions.
"He has been playing in all three formats for India for a long time. He has a lot of experience. He knows everything about which batsman is going to do. He has so much knowledge because he is a big player. He knows where to bowl. It's obvious that if I am batting against him. It's a little tough, but it's fun in the competition," said the 15-year-old cricketer.
RR will clash against the <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/ipl-2026-shubman-gill-shreyas-iyer-lead-gujarat-titans-punjab-kings-in-high-stakes-clash-23623386" rel="nofollow">Gujarat Titans</a> (GT) on April 4 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
