Former New Zealand and Kings XI Punjab coach Mike Hesson has joined Royal Challengers Bangalore as Director of Cricket Operations, former Australian cricketer Simon Katich has joined RCB as head coach. The IPL franchise has parted ways with former India World Cup-winning coach Gary Kirsten and former Indian bowler Ashish Nehra.
As the Director of Cricket Operations, Mike Hesson will be responsible for the overall RCB cricket operations including defining policy, strategy, programs, scouting, performance management and bringing in best practices throughout all aspects of the RCB's cricketing pathway.
