MI New York defeated the reigning champions, Washington Freedom, by five runs to win the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 title at the Grand Prairie Stadium.

Defending a target of 181 runs, MI New York`s lead pacer Trent Boult claimed two wickets by conceding 32 runs in four overs. Ugarkar shouldered him by claiming two wickets.
