South Africa captain Aiden Markram has said that the key to their dominant T20 World Cup campaign is the team’s hunger, after their brushed aside West Indies in a Super Eights game here on Thursday for their sixth consecutive win.

Reflecting on the commanding margins against top-tier opposition, Markram said, “The scorelines might look convincing, but we know how much planning and execution goes into beating teams of that calibre. The boys have been fully locked in. There’s a lot of pride in this group and a real hunger to achieve something special. They’re quality teams [NZ, India and WI] and to put in strong performances against them gives you confidence.”
