Opening the innings, skipper Mitchell Marsh played an unbeaten knock of 64 runs off just 33 deliveries, which was laced with seven boundaries and four maximums. Fellow opening batsman Travis Head smashed 32 runs in just 19 balls, including six boundaries. Wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis scored an unbeaten 12 runs, which came in six balls, with the help of two boundaries.
