Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026, amid the uncertainty of Bangladesh's team visiting India, former skipper Tamim Iqbal said that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) should look to solve the problem, considering the country's future in the game.

Earlier, BCB had asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to move all of their T20 World Cup 2026 matches out of India, citing security and safety concerns for the contingent. This came after the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) released Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman from its squad for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.
