The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for the Men’s and Women’s Player of the Month awards for August 2025, with fast bowlers dominating the men's category. India’s Mohammed Siraj, New Zealand’s Matt Henry, and West Indies’ Jayden Seales have been shortlisted for their standout performances across formats last month.

Siraj’s nomination comes on the back of a sensational bowling display in the fifth Test match against England during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The Indian pacer played a pivotal role in sealing the series win at The Oval, picking up a match haul of nine wickets. He claimed 4/86 in 16.2 overs in the first innings and followed it up with a five-wicket haul (5/104 in 30.1 overs) in the second, delivering when it mattered most on the final day of the series decider.
