Having put to bat first, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) lost the early wicket of its opening batsman, Josh Inglis, on 13 runs in five balls, including three boundaries. Later, captain Rishabh Pant registered 15 runs in 10 balls, including a boundary and a maximum. Akshat Raghuwanshi was dismissed on 11 runs in seven balls, including a maximum. Aiden Markram and Himmat Singh stayed unbeaten. Facing 25 balls, Markram scored 31 runs, including a boundary and a maximum, whereas Himmar smashed 40 runs off 31 balls, laced with two boundaries and the same number of maximums.
