Former South Africa cricketer and perhaps the best fielder cricket has seen, Jonathan ‘Jonty’ Rhodes celebrates his 51st birthday on the 27th of July, 2020.

Not many are aware that Jonty Rhodes had also represented South Africa in hockey and was even chosen for the squad for 1992 Olympic Games, however, they did not qualify.

Jonty Rhodes was first married to Kate McCarthy, who was the niece of another former SA cricketer Cuan McCarthy, in 1994. The couple had two kids - daughter, Danellia Rhodes, and a son Ross.

Jonty Rhodes got married to Melanie Wolf in October 2014. In 2015, Melanie gave birth to a baby girl in Mumbai. Two years later in 2017, their son was born in Santacruz, Mumbai, as well.

Jonty Rhodes named his daughter India. This was due to him being a regular visitor of the nation as well as his love for the culture and heritage.
