Born on April 29, 1979, Ashish Nehra is a former Indian cricketer who has represented the national team in Tests, ODIs and T20Is.

Ashish Nehra is known as one of the most talented fast bowlers to have come from the Indian cricket setup, constantly clocking 140 km/hr speeds while bowling, during his playing days.

Sadly, Ashish Nehra`s career was always riddled with injuries which made him miss crucial Indian cricket tournaments during the peak of his career.

Ashish Nehra is from a Jat family based in Delhi. His parents are Diwan and Sumitra.,Ashish Nehra has a brother Bhanu Mehra, who is a restaurateur.

On April 2, 2009, Ashish Nehra got married to Rushma Nehra. The couple has a daughter Ariana and son Aarush.

One of the highlights of Ashish Nehra`s career was the spell he bowled against England in the 2003 World Cup, where he took 6 wickets for 23 runs to turn a losing match in India`s favour. The spell is regarded as one of the best World Cup spells ever.
