Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta hailed 15-year-old Max Dowman’s ‘special’ performance after the teenager became Arsenal’s youngest-ever starter in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Brighton in the EFL Cup fourth round.

Ethan Nwaneri (57th minute) and Bukayo Saka (76th min) scored the goals, but it was Dowman’s dazzling display that stole the show.
