Cambridge School (Kandivli) pulled off a major upset when they defeated defending champions Don Bosco High School (Matunga) 1-0 in a boys U-16 Division-I match of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school football tournament at Wings Sports Centre (Bandra) on Wednesday.
Don Bosco dominated possession at the start and created multiple chances. However, they were unable to find the back of the net. Sheldon Dias was denied by the post early in the first half. Another golden chance went in vain when Prajeet Vinayagamurty failed to convert from close range. Cambridge, on the other hand, focused on strong defensive organisation, ending the first half 0-0.
