El Greco, with level start, may surprise in RN Kanga Trophy

The RN Kanga Trophy headlines Thursday’s seven-race card at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. While Pride’s Prince and The Millenium Force are expected to dominate the betting, El Greco — trained by PS Chouhan — could emerge as a strong challenger if he gets a level start at the gates

The RN Kanga Trophy is the feature event of Thursday's seven-race card at Mahalaxmi, and although there are only five runners, a close finish cannot be ruled out. The betting market may be divided between the Imtiaz Sait-trained Pride's Prince, who is going over his pet trip of mile, and maintains his winning form; and the PS Chouhan-trained The Millenium Force, who registered a hat-trick of wins over the same mile trip at Pune, but is now running after four months.

However, I feel if El Greco (also trained by PS Chouhan), who in last run was slow at the gates, then passed them all to hit the front, before flopping in the homestretch, is also an equally strong contender for the top spot if he takes level jump at the gates on Thursday.
