Traditionally considered as a pointer to the Sprinters’ Cup, the Dr SC Jain Sprinters’ Championship (Gr 2) will be the feature event of Sunday’s eight-race card slated at the Mahalaxmi racetrack.

Eight top-class horses, from all over the country, have entered into the fray—Corfe Castle, trained by Leo D’Silva, being one of them. I expect him to win the event from Kildare, the local hero who has been in rousing form of late, but may find the trip a little too sharp.
