For Class IV horses, the ten-furlong trip of the Teena Katrak Memorial Independence Million, always turns out to be a very tricky affair

The Teena Katrak Memorial Independence Million is slated as the feature event of the Independence Day card at the Pune monsoon racetrack. There are 13 Class IV runners in the fray, and I expect the Pesi Shroff-trained duo of King ke and Alexandross (who caught the eye in a mock race last month) to fight it out with Nostalgia (good recent victory on this track and Land Of Plenty (dramatic improvement in form towards the end of the last Mumbai season), with the first-named likely to nose the wire first.
First race at 2 pm.
Selections:
Unforgettable You Plate (Class III; 1400m)
Ghirardelli 2, Spanish Eyes 2, Chardikala 3.
