Holger Rune stunned World No.2 Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets to claim the Barcelona Open title yesterday. It was the Dane’s first title of the season and he won it in emphatic fashion, beating the Spaniard  7-6(6), 6-2 while also ending his opponent’s nine-game win streak. The triumph marked Rune’s fifth ATP title overall, and his first since 2023.
