American tennis star Serena Williams has stressed that communication between partners is very important to keep a relationship going. Williams, who got married to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in 2017, said her relationship works because they both put the effort to keep things afloat.

According to UK’s entertainment website, Female First, speaking in a video for dating app, Bumble, Williams said: “Marriage is not bliss. But it can be if you work at it.” The former World No. 1 said the deal breaker in any relationship is not having loyalty. 

Meanwhile, she felt time is the best healer when it comes to heartbreak. “Heartbreak is a part of life, whether it be a loved one, a boyfriend, or an animal. But time heals all wounds,” remarked Williams, who has daughter Alexis Olympia, three, with Ohanian.
