In cricket, India`s star pacer Mohammed Shami has received the Arjuna Award for the exceptional skills he displayed during the ICC World Cup 2023. The captain of the Blind Cricket team Illuri Ajay Kumar Reddy is also among the 26 awardees who received the Arjuna Award at the Rashtrapati Bhavan

From archery, Ojas Pravin Deotale scripted history by becoming the world champion in Germany in July 2023. He is also Nagpur`s first Asian Games medallist. Along with him, Aditi Gopichand Swami also received the Arjuna Award for clinching India`s first World Archery Championships title with compound women`s gold medal

Naorem Roshibina Devi has been awarded for winning silver in the 60 kg category in the Asian Games 2023, a silver medal in the Texas World Wushu Championship 2023 (60 kg) and winning gold in the Moscow Wushu Stars Championship (60 kg)
