Deepika Kumari qualified for the pre-quarterfinals of the women`s individual archery event. Aishwary Tomar finished in 11th place and Swapnil Kusale qualified for the finals of the men`s 50m rifle 3 positions. Lovlina Borgohain qualified for women`s 75kg boxing quarterfinals. The Sat-Chi duo suffered a loss in the quarterfinals. Sen qualified for the quarterfinals of the men`s singles badminton event. Priyanka Goswami finished in 41st place in the women`s 20km walk. The Indian hockey team lost the pool match. Paramjeet Singh finished in 37th place in the men`s 20km walk and Vikas Singh ended in the 30th place
