Mira Kapoor’s new Bandra sanctuary offers city-dwellers a way to slow down, reset, and reconnect — without leaving town

Mira Kapoor’s Dhun Wellness claims to be India’s first in-city luxury wellness sanctuary, inviting urban dwellers to pause, heal, and reset without leaving the city
On Tuesday at noon, when the rain Gods were slightly calmer, we headed to Dhun Wellness in Bandra to explore how this new urban wellness sanctuary fits into the fast-paced city life. Founded by entrepreneur and investor Mira Kapoor, it claims to be India’s first in-city luxury wellness sanctuary, inviting urban dwellers to pause, heal, and reset without leaving the city. Kapoor believes the wellness space in India remains largely untapped. “Most often, the industry is polarised — on one end, there’s hospital care, and on the other, aesthetic care in salons or dermatology clinics. But in-city wellness is a gap I felt was waiting to be discovered,” she explains.
In an interview with Sunday mid-day, she shared, “I do a seven-day detox every year, and each time, I struggled with the idea of leaving my family behind and taking time out to travel for it. I knew there had to be more people like me — those looking to address metabolic dysfunction, managing lifestyle disorders, and being the best version of themselves by integrating wellness into their everyday life.”
