Half of British men have admitted that they regularly hide in the bathroom from a naggingu00a0artner, according to a new study.u00a0Geberit AquaClean WCs, which asked 2,000 people, revealed that fathers who are trying to escape hyperactiveu00a0children or wives on the warpath, are likely to be found taking time out in the toilet.
Rather than using it for obvious purposes, nearly half admit they take sanctuary playing games on their phone,u00a0listening to sports commentary or relaxing to music.u00a0Blokes say the bathroom is the only place where they can be sure of absolute privacy by hiding behind a lockedu00a0door.
Twenty per cent said they'd been told off for taking too long and over a third confessed they spend more time in theu00a0toilet than their partner.u00a0One in 10 men is avoiding his partner's friends or reality TV and soaps, while a third just calm down.
"The bathroom seems to be the last stronghold for guaranteed peace and quiet," the Daily Express quotedu00a0Raffaela De Vittorio, of Geberit AquaClean WCs, as saying.u00a0
