Guv Ramesh Bais, on occasion of birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, offered floral tribute to Maratha king's statue in Dadar's Shivaji Park.

Guv Bais was accompanied by state and Mumbai guardian minister Deepak Kesarkar and BMC chief Iqbal Singh Chahal.

Prior to offering tributes to the statue at Dadar, Guv Bais offered floral tributes to Shivaji Raje's bust in Raj Bhavan in presence of the officials. Pic/X

CM Eknath Shinde and his deputies Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis too offered floral tributes to the revered Maratha king.

This year marks the 394th birth anniversary of the revered Maratha king. 

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was the 17th-Century Indian warrior king who founded Maratha empire. 

Shivaji Maharaj is considered to be one of the greatest warriors in Indian history. 

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary aka Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti is commemorated every year on February 19.
